The Blasty Zone is a phenomenon from the Robotmasters portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Wibbly-wobbly...timey-wimey...stuff.

The Blasty Zone (ブラスティゾーン Burasutizōn, ブラスティーゾーン Burasutīzōn) is a teary in spacey-timey, capable of transporting Transformersy across spacey and timey. It can be artificially created, but maintaining it is impossible, and the zone can collapse without warning. Although its presence creates gravitational forces, it does not suck in energy and matter as a black hole would.

It is also referred to as the Bloody Zone.

Fiction

Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity

Robotmasters

Many Transformers, including Psycho-Orb from prehistoric Earth and Gigant Bomb from 2025, travelled through Blasty Zones, all being embroiled into a single conflict on Earth in 2004-2005. Star Saber and Victory Leo followed Gigant Bomb through one of those tears, ending up in the same conflict.

All of Robotmasters media is presumably supplemented by bio and other information, such as the above. However, as the three narratives are individually irreconcilable, they are separated into sections.
Cartoon

The Megatron of a different "dimension" travelled to modern Earth via an unspecified method, likely through a Blasty Zone. Optimus Prime feared that such travel would destroy the Universe. Such a thing did not come to pass, although Megatron professed no qualms if it did. Fight! The Group of the Strongest Commanders!

Pack-in manga

In 2004, a future Megatron arrived through a Blasty Zone from Earth's past. Fortunately for the Autobots, he was later followed by his nemesis, Optimus Primal. The New Battle Begins!

Star Saber and Victory Leo in 2025 also crossed a Blasty Zone. Detecting Decepticon presence on Earth, they combined into Victory Saber Jet Mode and sped off to the planet. Go! Star Saber

Lio Convoy was transported from Gaea—future Earth—through a Blasty Zone to Earth in 2005. The trip struck the white lion with a minor bout of amnesia, which Megatron exploited. The Lio Convoy Typhoon Enters

Ask Vector Prime

After hijacking the body of the future Autobot Reverse Convoy in order to return to normal space, Megatron traveled through the Blasty Zone in order to return to his native timeframe. After Megatron was expelled from Reverse Convoy's body, Convoy returned to his home era, presumably also through the Blasty Zone. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/14

Wind Sheer was taken while travelling through the Blasty Zone by Primus to fight in the Universe War. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/23

Animated

Maccadam's Old Oil House featured a drink on their menu named the Bloody Z, presumably in reference to this phenomenon. The AllSpark Almanac II

Notes

  • "Bloody Zone" only appears in the Kiss Players timeline. Whether it is a typo or actually intended to be an alternate name is unclear.
  • It is possible that the term is meant to be romanized as "Blastizone", "Blustizone", or "Blusty Zone".
