Detroit's super-villains team up, and Bumblebee recalls the first time he met Bulkhead
Synopsis
[edit]This book recounts the events of "SUV: Society of Ultimate Villainy" and "Autoboot Camp", through the use of cartoon screen captures arranged in comic book style panels.
Notes
[edit]SUV: Society of Ultimate Villainy
[edit]- Bumblebee's comment about the Autobots buffing their damage out is gone.
- As is his comment about the others tailgating him and Prowl's response.
- Angry Archer gets an extra line "'Tis a puzzlement as to what has transpired, yet a happy one" after Bumblebee is zapped while chasing him.
- After Swindle speaks up during the getaway, Slo-Mo asks who's talking.
- The satellite dish robbery is trimmed down substantially, with the scene with Angry Archer and Professor Princess arguing, and the security drones being lost.
- As Sari and Bumblebee spy on the thieves at the warehouse, Sari comments that they're either building a weapon or going to an awful lot of trouble to pirate satellite TV.
- Swindle doesn't mention the AllSpark in relation to the timepiece, with the consequence that Angry Archer instead asks what war the Decepticon is talking about.
- Swindle's elaboration about the Vok is missing too.
- Other parts of Swindle's speech to Megatron are skipped, including "I could spring a leak, I'm so excited" and "a fate worse than going offline."
- The sequence with Sari using the force fields on the crooks and reprogramming the Reception Bot is left out.
- Bumblebee using his stingers on the crooks after they turn on him is also left out.
- After Swindle gets stuck in vehicle mode, it jumps to Prime telling Bumblebee he should have called them sooner.
- The story ends with Angry Archer asking for a push, skipping the final scene.
Autoboot Camp
[edit]- The narration describes Wasp as a Decepticon, though he was never one in the cartoon.
- Sentinel Prime fall from the space bridge is missing.
- Bumblebee's flashbacks are all presented with a desaturated effect not present onscreen.
- Sumdac gets an extra line urging Megatron to keep talking.
- The start of the transmission the Autobots intercept is missing, making Bumblebee's assertion that Megatron mentioned a double-agent on Cybertron look weird, since Megatron didn't say anything of the kind!
- The discussion about Bulkhead's jaw and Sentinel's chin is missing.
- The whole sequence with the bots demonstrating their powers, and Sentinel naming them, is skipped over, jumping directly to Sentinel giving them twenty transform-ups.
- The next couple of scenes are also missed out, and we next see Bumblebee doing his "I am a worthless oil stain" punishment.
- The flashbacks with Bumblebee trying catch the traitor are skipped over.
- Bumblebee's encounter with a grenade and his talking to Bulkhead just after are left out.
- The contents of Wasp's locker go unrevealed.
- The scene with Bumblebee and Bulkhead having become space bridge repair-bots is missing.
- As is the scene with the escaped Wasp swearing to find "Bumblebot".
- Extra dialog at the start of the scene where Megatron talks to Shockwave establishes that the "communication leak has been plugged".
Trivia
[edit]- A screencap on the second-to-last page of "SUV" has a nasty case of interlacing going on with Ratchet's left hand.
