Prime and Grimlock attempt to stop Blackarachnia, and Sari defends the base against the Constructicons

Synopsis

This book recounts the events of "Black Friday" and "Sari, No One's Home", through the use of cartoon screen captures arranged in comic book style panels.

Notes

Black Friday

• We lose Meltdown melting his bed and his comment about losing furniture, though there's vapour rising off his bed in one of the screen captures used.
• Grimlock's "ooga" chanting is absent as the Blackarachnia first turns up.
• The Dinobots fighting over Blackarachnia, her comment about there being enough of her to go around, and her borrowing Grimlock's fire-breath so she can chase them off, all skipped.
• The latter half of Bumblebee's line about Meltdown maybe wanting to turn people into "bat shark squid crab thingies" is missing, which means the next line in reaction to Sari kicking him is left looking disjointed.
• After Bumblebee announces he's going to win the axle grease, the rest of his talking is cut.
• Prowl's "Looks like Meltdown's been here." line is skipped.
• After surprising Optimus Prime with a hologram, the bit where Blackarachnia uses Bumblebee's stingers on him is absent, though Optimus still notes that Blackarachnia has stolen both Prowl and Bumblebee's powers.
• Grimlock's speech patterns are slightly different, with him not prefixing his name with "me" all the time.
• The screen captures skip over Grimlock emitting fire after Blackarachnia kisses him.
• Grimlock's line about not scaring Porter C. Powell and Optimus's response are missing.
• Grimlock doesn't eat Powell, instead a narration box says he drools motor oil all over over the hapless human, though the visuals don't match this until Grimlock spits him out.
• Powell telling Grimlock not to touch anything in the lab and Grimlock falling over and apologizing is all missing.
• After Meltdown starts the operation on Blackarachnia, the next two scenes are switched around, amalgamating the next Meltdown/Blackarachnia scene with this one, and doing the same for the scenes of Optimus and the Dinobots fighting the fusion creatures.
• Blackarachnia's "in spite of everything" line gets given to Optimus instead.
• Grimlock reverts to "me Grimlock" speech patterns for the last few pages.
• Optimus's "I told you she was using us!" line is absent.
• Optimus's line as he stands over Prowl and Bumblebee is bizarrely changed. Rather than "I'm sorry. I tried to save you." addressing his friends, he announced "I'm sorry I tried to save you, Blackarachnia.", though Blackarachnia isn't even present.
• The scene ends with Optimus, Prowl and Bumblebee bursting into laughter, where as onscreen we just get a smile from Optimus.
• The final two scenes, with Fanzone letting Optimus off, and Meltdown beginning to reform, are both absent completely.

Sari, No One's Home

• There are no images of Prowl completing the course, with him doing so in narration.
• Sari's line starting "He! Piece of cake" is missing.
• Prowl's line that Sari will improve is also missing.
• Sari yells "Woo-hoo! YEAH! Woo-hoo!" when the vending machine covers her in candy. That's the only thing she's shown getting up to though, as the subsequent shots of her messing around with the factory equipment are missing.
• The scene with Bumblebee mistaking a real cement mixer for Mixmaster is omitted.
• Most of the sequence where Sari first encounters the Constructicons is skipped, jumping straight to her trying to deafen them with a scream.
• Sari pinning Scrapper with the door is missing.
• The scene with Sari lamenting that she ate too many candy bars is swapped with the next scene showing the Autobots in the car park.
• As Scrapper juggles Sari's phone, Mixmaster fails to interrupt him as on screen.
• The scene with Sari talking to her teddy bear is again swapped in running order with the next scene of the Autobots fighting Blitzwing.
• Ratchet's line about telling them that is missing.
• Bulkhead attempting to attack Blitzwing and being blasted back is skipped.
• Sari's hockey stick breaking and her reaction are omitted.
• Scrapper's "That's what I've been trying to tell you!" line is erroneously given to Mixmaster.
