Geobomb

A geobomb is a weapon used by Galactic Council in the IDW Generation 1 continuity.

During the Great War, the Decepticon called Killmaster developed a "moon gun", a weapon capable of destroying moons. The Galactic Council later acquired the blueprints, and used them to develop the geobomb: a small, red orb capable of destroying an entire planet with its detonation.

Geobombs were small, round, red devices capable of destroying entire planets, engineered from the plans for Killmaster's "moon gun". When Overlord was taking too long in his Council approved assassination of Megatron, General Neech teleported a blue geobomb into the depths of Necroworld, where it manifested in front of Nightbeat and Rung. Do Not Go Gentle When it detonated without destroying the planet, the two Autobots assumed it had burnt itself out, causing only a minor tremor. Some Other Cybertron

When Rodimus managed to make contact with Brainstorm, the scientist realized (much to his and Nightbeat's delight) that the blue geobomb was a different variant than the red one. He speculated that the bomb was supposed to have teleported Necroworld either to another part of the galaxy far from Council space, or even to a neighbouring galaxy, but that it had malfunctioned and sent them all to a different universe instead. Rodimus was skeptical, but didn't have a better explanation. A World Misplaced
