Turbo is a heroic Guardian who transforms into a Gobotic car. He is a longtime friend and comrade of Leader-1, especially in the Guardians' operations on Earth against the Renegades.

During the Alienapolis Five Million, Turbo, Street Heat, and Sparky raced against Crasher, Spoiler, and Stallion. Even after being disqualified for cheating, Crasher refused to yield to Turbo, but Turbo won the race anyway. In another incident, Cy-Kill deliberately allowed himself to be captured and placed in a Guardian prison. When he broke out, his forces severely injured Turbo, prompting Leader-1 and the Guardians to choose to tend to Turbo's medical needs over pursuing the escaping Renegades. When the Renegades kidnapped Doctor Turgenova, Leader-1, Turbo, Bent Wing, and Super Couper launched a diversionary frontal assault on the Renegades' base so that their comrades could rescue the doctor. Renegade Rhetoric (1), 2015/10/19
During the SciFi Con in New York City, Matt Hunter, Raizor, and Turbo were present as they were fans of the alien invasion film Bastille Day. Turbo was dressed as a lead character from The Matrix. The Renegades were also present at the convention to kidnap Doctor Faraji, inventor of the Dynamic Asymmetrical Wavefront Nullifier, ultimately taking both Faraji and Turbo prisoner aboard the Rogue Star. When a Guardian attack disrupted the Rogue Star's power systems, Turbo and Faraji were able to escape, destroy the DAWN, and escape aboard a Space Hawk. Renegade Rhetoric (1), 2015/10/21

In a divergent timeline, Turbo was present at an all-faction crisis meeting on the Cataclysm, where he listened to Dr. B explain about the other transforming robots who seemed responsible. He was extremely interested in the idea of thumping them. Withered Hope

In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Turbo was the first Guardian to encounter the Spy Changers. Mistakenly presuming them to be Renegades, Turbo attacked the strangers, and he was soon joined by Ace, Hans-Cuff, Wrong Way, Royal-T, Good Knight, Bolt, and Heat Seeker. When Gong and Sideways combined two disparate realities into a single amalgamated universe, Turbo replaced Jazz; he and Small Foot were the first to report Unicron's attack on Moonbase One. As the timeline continued to destabilize, he and Jazz switched places several times. Echoes and Fragments
