Kunio Okawara

Kunio Okawara (大河原 邦男 Okawara Kunio, born December 26, 1947) is a mechanical designer in the anime industry, notable in being the first person to be credited as such. Most famous for working on the Gundam series, his contributions are proflific in multiple mecha shows, including the Brave series.
He was brought on by Takara during thhe mid to late 1980s, contributing to the visual design of a number of Transformers designs just before Generation 2 began. His first Transformers work was the Beast Wars II series, during which he was one of the only members of the Takara team developing Transformers for the Japanese market.
