The Beast

I really don't think this article should be merged with The Beast. They're both Dinobot combiners but they're very clearly two separate characters. As it states in the article, The Dinobots had to actually break themselves down to combine rather than just transform into the separate components. The Beast was also a violent, raging...well, beast, while Volcanicus here seems to be much more "controlled" and not as eager to abruptly switch sides, based on what we saw from the Earth Wars teaser.

Just because they're both dinobot combiners doesn't make them the same thing. Mega-Dinobot isn't merged with The Beast, so why should Volcanicus be? RazorSlash (talk) 18:34, 9 September 2017 (EDT)

I am also feeling inclined to keep the two separate. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 18:50, 9 September 2017 (EDT)
Those sound like really arbitrary points. Consistent characterization isn't a thing in Transformers and we don't even split up pages based on different component members (Galvatronus...). Mega-Dinobot is also made up of only two dudes and is from a completely different continuity family. The point is that both are literally just the same concept (combiner made up of the five Dinobots). Saix (talk) 18:57, 9 September 2017 (EDT)
Galvatronus is a different case, though, I feel. The toy and the appearance in the IDW comics do not directly contradict each other outside of the formation(though, to be honest, I always felt the IDW and Generations pages should be split anyway, but that's a discussion for another time). We know from Earth Wars that Volcanicus is an Autobot combiner. The Beast isn't, it's a rampaging monster that kills whatever it sees.
