This article is about the Generation 1 Dinobot. For the movieverse Dinobot, see Slash (AOE).
Slash is an Autobot Dinobot from Generation 1 continuity family.
They show extreme intelligence- even problem-solving intelligence. Especially the Big One. We bred eight originally, but when she came in she took over the pride and killed all but two of the others. That one... when she looks at you, you can see she's working things out.

Slash is the newest member of the Dinobots. She is an elite tracker who always finds her target.[1] When paired with a Prime Master, she tends to use her newfound power to hone her tracking abilities.

Clever girl.
  • Dinobot Slash (Legends, 2017)
  • Japanese ID number: PP-04
Part of the first wave of Power of the Primes Legends Class toys, Slash can transform into a rough, robotic approximation of a Velociraptor. Her beast mode jaw can open and close, and if you flip open the compartment on her beast mode back, you can fit a Prime Master inside. Though she was released alongside her five teammates who combine into Volcanicus, Slash does not form any part of the Dinobot combiner. A variant came out sporting the movie-style insignia on her chest. In both modes, she's fairly small for a Legends Class figure.
The Prime Masters card that comes with Slash is not multilingual like the others. Instead, it repeats the same English phrase four times. However, a multilingual Quintus Slash card was found...inside a Power of the Primes Dinobot Slug package.

Notes

  • Slash is inspired by the Age of Extinction character of the same name.
  • While Slash was advertised as the first female Dinobot, this isn't quite correct. Slash is the first female Dinobot to receive a toy, as well as the first female Dinobot with an actual dinosaur mode, but she was preceded in fiction by the female Dinobot Strafe, who appeared in the IDW Generation 1 continuity and transforms into a draconic Orthrus-like creature.
    • Incidentally, Age of Extinction Slash was also intended by designers to be female, but this did not make it into published bios.

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Slash (スラッシュ Surasshu)
