Monitorus

Monitorus is a Tau-Ursan from the Blackthorne portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

WALL-E? Never heard of him. Why?

Monitorus is a scientist and also the mayor of a major city on Tau-Ursa. Though brilliant, he is physically weak, and sometimes makes the wrong decisions.

Shortly after a beacon, warning of the release of the Destructons, crashed on Tau-Ursa, Monitorus found out, only to almost immediately discard it as rubbish. Instead he rushed to present his new invention, the Intergon Device, to a group of waiting Tau-Ursans. He demonstrated his device's ability to increase the potency of Energon, only for the meeting to be attacked by the Decepticons. Galvatron forced Monitorus to hand over the device, intending to rename it the Nullification Cannon. Monitorus subsequently approached the Autobots for help. Though Hot Rod pointedly mentioned that Monitorus had twice refused the Autobots permission to build a base on Tau-Ursa, Optimus Prime agreed to help.
