Transformer music

Many humans and Transformers enjoy special sound patterns termed music. Like many cultures, Transformers make music to express themselves. (The Decepticon Squawkbox, for instance, is a passionate musician.) However, very few of these alien songs have ever been recorded or played for human ears.

Rattrap mentions the existence of "cyber violins". Considering the (although sarcastic) context, it can be assumed to be an instrument to be played during events of mourning. Optimal Situation

The Jointrons have adopted a style of music akin to (a highly stereotyped version of) Spanish music. It mostly involves shaking maracas, sometimes accompanied by classical guitar, all the while yelling out Spanish nonsense. DJ is also said to be able to use his Seven-Year Swords to produce music.

G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers continuity

At least in this continuity, Cybertron had a rich history of music. With his Matrix-granted powers, the former G.I. Joe commander Hawk had access to a database of at least 11 million traditional Cybertronian songs. One apparently has a line that goes: "Protoform/Protoform/What will you be?"

The earth song "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is known even by Decepticon warriors. Transform and Roll Out However, it seems Decepticons in particular are unaware of or uninterested in music, or at least Megatron isn't, as he refers to music as "unusual sound patterns that humans prefer." Megatron's subsequent creation of Soundwave, and how he only has one goddamn song to play, indicates Megatron's never even encountered it before coming to Earth, which is a damn shame really.
