Triple-Threat Master

Triple-Threat Masters are a technology from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Triple-Threat Master is the ultimate combination of Headmaster, Targetmaster and Powermaster technologies. On paper, it sounds like a great deal. Three smaller mechanoids attached to a larger partner granting phenomenally nay-godlike power. Problem is, in practice the process also shaves years off of a subject's life since a 'bot can't remain linked to three other personalities and retain their own spark integrity for long. Of course, if the subject is crazy enough this isn't much of a problem.

Beast Wars: Uprising

In the early 21st century the Great War spread to the planet Nebulos. With the Autobots allying with the World Watchers and the Decepticons allying with the Hive, cross-pollination of Cybertronian and Nebulon technology occurred producing the Headmaster and Targetmaster upgrades. While the campaign on Nebulos devastated the planet and its population, only a few years later the war spread to the Cybertronian colony Rebirth. There, Decepticon leader Galvatron found an ample supply of smaller-sized beings who could be utilized as a new form of binary bond partner called the Powermaster. Thus on Rebirth the Decepticons allied with the Malignus, a local Cyberdroid faction. Malignus engineer Nucleon perfected the Powermaster process and Galvatron convinced Maglinus leaders Doomshot and Clench to join with him as a single binary-bond unit, the Triple-Threat Master. With almost godlike power in his servos Galvatron led the Decepticons and Malignus to victory over the ruling Optimus. However, the Autobots were soon to arrive and created their own generation of binary-bonded Cyberdroid partners. A newly-resurrected Optimus Prime joined with surviving Optimus members Apex and Hi-Q as well as Surge to become Triple-Threat Prime. The ensuing clashes between Triple-Threat Prime and Galvatron were epic but were inconclusive. A Brush With Infamy–Prologue Their age soon came to an end, however as an ailing Optimus sacrificed himself to save Earth from the Swarm Book of Logos while Galvatron was apprehended, tried and executed in the wake of the disastrous Great Push.
