Too swole to control.

Aubrey Sitterson is a freelance writer and podcaster. He wrote G.I. Joe vol. 5 and Scarlett's Strike Force for IDW Publishing. Sitterson's take on G.I. Joe explored the more outre aspects of the franchise's history, including a move to have the team shoot colored lasers as per the 1980s cartoon as opposed to real bullets and the inclusion of oddball concepts like the "Fatal Fluffies" and Hasbro's short-lived "Army Ants". He also revamped the largely inconsequential Joe character "Salvo" into a Samoan-American woman (as opposed to a bald white guy), one of several moves that ended up... let's say "alienating" elements of the G.I. Joe fandom. (He also said some stuff about 9/11 that was ...well, it certainly was his opinion.)[1].

As a consequence, Scarlett's Strike Force was cancelled before the first issue was even published, and IDW released a statement on Facebook disavowing Sitterson's political statements.[2]
