When the Decepticons invaded, Sofía lost half her family including her uncle Carlos. Behind My Bleeding Back

Years later, after Optimus Prime annexed Earth into the Cybertronian Council of Worlds, Sofía was part of an anti-Cybertronian rally in Mexico City. When the Autobots arrived, however, she was injured in the resulting shooting. Jazz tried to aid her only for her to rebuff him. To Walk Among the Chosen

Jazz was undeterred, however, and followed her back to her apartment where he fumbled over his words before telling her he wanted to understand humanity's perception of Cybertronians. After a long day, Sofía found Jazz waiting for her again before Sharkticons started dropping from the sky. Sofía gave a small rant that hinted at her profession before the Sharkticons all began leaving. Future Glories Lost In the aftermath, considering Jazz's heroism, she agreed to arrange an interview for him. Feel Safe Without Regrets

The interview however was an elaborate trap to turn Jazz over to G.I. Joe after he'd properly confessed to killing John Powell. She greeted him outside with Ramirez before the interview commenced. As time passed however, Hector began twisting all of Jazz's responses, prompting the Autobot to complain to Sofía who had little sympathy. After a warning from Optimus Prime, Jazz drove off though not before shooting a disappointed look at Sofía. When the G.I. Joe squad arrived, Sofía told them what happened. What It's Really Like

Sofía was later interviewed for her opinion on Earth joining the Council of Worlds. For her part, she was just glad that Jazz's interview had boosted her station's ratings to a worldwide level. Primeless, Part 1
