From L'Oreal

First revealed at Toy Fair 2018, Studio Series, underneath the Generations banner, acts as a celebration of over ten years of live-action movies, with characters from nearly every movie represented. It also coincides with Bumblebee, the sixth film in Michael Bay's live-action film series.

Each toy is numbered, with an indication of their movie of origin. All figures also come with a cardboard backdrop depicting a notable scene from their respective movie. Backdrops from separate figures representing the same scene are designed to be displayed side-by-side.

With rough robot mode scale as a line-wide goal, each figure is sized in relation to other toys, even in the same size class; Deluxe Jazz is shorter than Deluxe Bumblebee, who is in turn shorter than Deluxe Ratchet.

Toys"R"Us

Voyager Class
Due to coinciding with the closure of the United States division of Toys"R"Us, Thundercracker was only briefly available in some stores, and was never added to the Toys"R"Us online store before the latter ceased operations. He was later made available via several US-based online retailers. In Canada, he was released as a Toys"R"Us exclusive both online and in stores.

San Diego Comic-Con

While debuting at San Diego Comic-Con, this release was also made available online via Hasbro Toy Shop. See individual entries for more information.

Studio Series (TakaraTomy)

Similar to Power of the Primes, in Takara's Studio Series (スタジオシリーズ) line, all figures are identical to their Hasbro counterparts, forgoing Takara's past practice of using more movie-accurate paint jobs. This is most likely due to the line being an official collaboration between Hasbro and TakaraTomy, much like the Masterpiece Movie Series line. ID numbering slightly differs after number 8 compared to the Hasbro release, since Thundercracker is not yet released in Japan.

Notes

  • The toyline was officially unveiled at Toy Fair 2018 and Wonderfest 2018, with the first wave of Deluxes simultaneously put up for purchase on Hasbro Toy Shop through the Transformers website.
  • Like with previous movie-based lines, Studio Series also assigned code names to at least some of its characters. This time, the "theme" for those code names was "Australian race horses": Optimus Prime was "Radar", Bumblebee was "Stryker", and Megatron was "Fox". Other characters with code names ("Blue Light", "Mercenary", "Sentry", and possibly "Destroyer") have not been identified yet, whereas the code names for Jazz, Ratchet, Stinger, Lockdown, Starscream, Brawl, Grimlock, and Blackout are still unknown, as those toys have consistently been listed under their actual characters' names.
