Drancron
- Drancron is a Blentron from the Beast Wars Neo portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Created by Unicron and by his dark power, Drancron (ドランクロン Dorankuron) and the Blentrons are the next level of Transformer warriors. Like the other Blentrons, Drancron was engineered to feel no remorse for his actions, no sympathy for others, and absolutely no respect for life. He is a mostly silent warrior who moves swiftly and makes little to no sound. His presence cannot be detected even when he’s standing right behind the enemy. As a servant of Unicron, the destruction of every living being on Cybertron is his single motivating goal.
Sometimes there are lots of him.

Beast Wars Neo manga
Drancron, like the other Blentrons, was produced in mass numbers by Unicron in his "Black Ball" form, and were sent out to seek Angolmois capsules. One of the planets they attacked was Jörmungandr, where they exterminated most of the population but were unable to find the Angolmois capsule there.
When Magmatron's troops dwindled, the Black Ball, who was manipulating the Maximals and the Predacons to gather the Angolmois, offered its Blentrons as replacements. A Battle Fought Alone With the Blentrons, Magmatron set up a trap at an amphitheater floating in Cybertron orbit for the Maximals. When the trap was sprung and Big Convoy was forced to give up the Angolmois capusles to save his underlings, a Rartorata subsequently backstabbed Magmatron, revealing the Blentrons' true allegiance to Unicron! When six capsules were consumed by the Black Ball, Unicron revealed himself, but admitted that he was incomplete without the Angolmois energy found in both Magmatron and Big Convoy. The Blentrons were sicced on the two, but were all defeated by Big Convoy and Magmatron on their way to attack Unicron himself. Double Cross
After Unicron acquired the Angolmois he needed from Magmatron and obtained Cybertron as a new body, he was lured to the Georgian system by the Maximals. There, Unicron was trapped by crowded and exploding planets. The Maximals picked the opportunity to attack, but Unicron spat out another Blentron army to confront the Maximals. They were held at bay by the Maximals, allowing Big Convoy to make the final strike on Unicron. Return to Zero

At the end of the Great War, a disillusioned Decepticon lost himself in the dark underground gladiatorial games beneath Cybertron. He sopped his wounds in honorable mortal combat and forgot the military life that had failed him. His signature move was to decapitate his opponents when they lost, earning him the nickname "the Drancutter". Not surprisingly, Unicron saw potential there. He captured Drancron and transformed him with his dark power. Gone now were all thoughts of honor, and in their place, his already great lust for battle was amplified to an immeasurable degree. Drancron now lives only for the kill. And for Unicron. Beast Wars Sourcebook

Drancron, with Elephorca and Rartorata, brought Angolmois capsules to Shokaract on the orders of Unicron, priming him as a "vessel". The Ascending #1 The Ascending #2
At Unicron's command, the Blendtrons went to prehistoric Earth, attacking the Maximals and Predacons stranded there. Drancron was apparently killed when Spittor knocked him into his teammate Rartorata's stinger, which caused a violent reaction in the Angolmois powering his body. The explosion wiped him, Rartorata, Spittor, and Lazorbeak out. The Ascending #3 The Ascending #4

Drancron was one of a number of Maximals who attacked the Throttlebots while they were marooned on the backwater planet of Regalis V. The Dead Come Home, Part 1 When Prowl's reinforcements arrived, he battled Stardrive, who demanded to know why the beastformers had attacked the Throttlebots. Drancron merely replied that "they were in the way", to which Stardrive responded by unleashing Dire Wraith powers to blow Drancron to bits. The Dead Come Home, Part 2

Beast Wars Neo

- Drancron (Deluxe, 1999)
- Japanese ID number: X-8
- Accessories: "Clap Missile"
- Drancron is a redeco of the Beast Wars Deluxe Fuzor Sky Shadow, transforming into a beast mode that is a combination of lizard and dragonfly parts. He can fire a pressure-launch "Clap Missile" (we don't know either) from his robot mode mouth. This launcher mechanism forms his tail in beast mode, and fires with a pressure-trigger on the beast's back. His right forearm takes the form of an enormous claw known as the "Drancutter" formed by the upper set of beast mode wings, which flap/snap open and closed when you push a small lever back and forth. They can also be locked in the "open wide" position thanks to a catch in the mechanism.
Notes
- It is often thought that the beast mode head forms Sky Shadow/Drancron's left hand. However, a set of (immobile) claws are molded into the wrist behind the head, giving them a somewhat more "normal" hand. The Beast Wars Neo model catches this.
