This article is about the movieverse cassette. For the Generation 1 Mini-Cassette, see Dile.
Dairu is an Autobot from the live-action film series continuity family (via Studio Series).
There's a light in the distance. See them coming closer.

Dairu probably plays prehistoric heroic music. He has an evil twin, Uriad.[1]

Toys

Generations

  • Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage (3-pack, 2018)
    • Number: 19
    • Accessories: Left & right blasters
Studio Series Dairu utilizes a recreated mold of Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers Dile, transforming into what appears to be an aqua-green Iguanodon. Two silver-chromed blasters plug into the faux cassette tape holes near his hips. In tape mode, he fits into the chest compartment of the original Blaster or Soundwave (and their retooled reincarnations). Dairu forms the upper body of an unnamed combiner with Uruaz. His weapons become over-shoulder artillery in this mode.
He was only available in a San Diego Comic-Con 2018 exclusive box set, alongside Uruaz and a chromed Bumblebee. In Taiwan, this set was available at general retail.
He was redecoed into Studio Series 20 Bumblebee Vol. 2 Retro Pop Highway Uriad.

Notes

  • "Dairu" is the direct romanization of Dile's original Japanese name "ダイル". That name is in turn the back half of "crocodile" in Japanese and/or is wordplay on the back half of "reptile" in Japanese. It is not the Japanese rendering of "dial".
