Those who subscribed to the spectralist philosophy could be identified by their adjusting the color of their optics to the level of emotional discomfort around them. Other tenants of spectralism included a greeting known as "The Call of the Wavelength", spoken in Old Cybertronian, Little Victories and burying the dead in casket made out of whatever was nearby when the person had died. Following the mutiny against Team Rodimus, the demise of Skids, and the defeat of the Decepticon Justice Division, Do Not Go Gentle Rodimus converted to spectralism, having Drift repaint him in blue and purple. Though Drift was pleased by his friend's newfound spirituality, he noted the colours lent themselves to a multitude of interpretations and could easily be read as either mourning Skids or a promise to kill Getaway.
