In the wake of the apparent defeat of the Decepticons, the Elite Guard comes to Detroit to collect Optimus and his crew.

Synopsis

This book recounts the events of "The Elite Guard" and "The Return of the Headmaster", through the use of cartoon screen captures arranged in comic book style panels.

Notes

The Elite Guard

• Optimus Prime reassuring Bulkhead that they're still heroes is gone, in favor of him stealing Ratchet's next line.
• After the Elite Guard ship flies overhead, Bumblebee isn't shown joining the other Autobots, with his line going to Prowl instead.
• An extra line has Fanzone ordering his men to open fire if there's any hostile action.
• Optimus addresses Ultra Magnus as "Commander Ultra Magnus".
• The discussion between Sentinel Prime and Jazz stops short after Sentinel's "rots your circuits from the inside" line.
• As Sentinel reacts to Ratchet's suggestion that Optimus should be regarded as a hero, Ratchet asks if Optimus is just going to stand there and take the abuse.
• After pointing out he resurrected the Autobots' worst enemy, Megatron suggests to Sumdac that he should be hoping the Autobots don't come looking for him.
• After Optimus announces the newcomers "are on our side", the scene skips to Sari wondering what happened to the others and running into the force field, so we don't get Sentinel crashing through the police cars.
• The next scene with Optimus giving his companions driving instruction is completely gone.
• Jazz's reaction to Sari's "BOOGA BOOGA" is sadly missing.
• Jazz's response to being told the blinky light shows are traffic lights is skipped.
• As Bumblebee and Sari take cover, Bumblebee notes that at least they've sped up production.
• Much of the fight at the factory is cut down, including Prowl and Jazz comparing ninja stuff, and some of the action as Optimus, Jazz and Prowl enter the factory.
• After Optimus tells Sentinel to stick it, Sentinel responds "By the time I'm through with you, you won't even outrank a protoform."

The Return of the Headmaster

• Adrias's line during Sentinel's speech is missing.
• The scene with Bulkhead and Bumblebee arranging a meal for Sari is left out.
• The first couple of lines of the next scene, with Optimus telling Sentinel not to run off are also trimmed.
• The fight with Tutor Bot and Sparkplug at the dock is completely missing.
• Again, the scene with Bulkhead and Bumblebee trying to teach Sari and her asking them about her past is left out entirely.
• Most of the banter when Masterson and Optimus fight is trimmed down to "Yer gonna get flamed! Yes! I am so leet!" "I have no idea what that means."
• Masterson telling Optimus to chill is left out.
• Optimus stopping the Headmaster unit using Sentinel's head is skipped.
• The tail end of the scene with Fanzone releasing Masterson is also trimmed.
• Bulkhead's "her eyes are leaking" line gets given to Bumblebee instead,
• Optimus apologizing for presuming to speak for Sentinel again is missing.
