- IIRC, the guy who does Annotated Alchemist said it's a cultural thing- anime isn't supposed to surprise its audience... like the Greek plays where everyone knew what was coming. It's supposed to expose human nature- not tell a story. (It sounds much more insightful when he says it.)
- I happen to think that's just making excuses for Anime's shallow, stock storytelling. Anime's vapidity doesn't stem from a high-minded ideal- it comes from creators recycling ideas that have already been recycled twice. - "The Kind-Hearted Hero, Leomon, Dies!" Fuck right off with that, Japan. At least with this particular episode here, you would only know what "MegaZarak" was if you were paying attention the toyline. It's not an immediate spoiler - it's more like... example, example, uh.... "Enter: The Rat King." Who is the Rat King? We don't know! Get excited! Same sort of thing here.

- What bugs me about TDOUM-- it's even played like a looming disaster the audience sees coming. He just dies and everyone was like... "Bwuh?" Like it's a surprise.
- (Such a strange episode, but HM is a bizarre, often disjointed, series. Galvatron being kidnapped by aliens comes to mind.)
- Are yous till missing the RTM title of one of your HM episodes? I think I have my CD's with the RTM rm's on them aroudn somewhere... -Derik 10:13, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- I believe I've got all the rest of them - wonky audio oediting meant that Dormant Volcano and Head On Fort Max got their dub titles cut off on the Metro DVDs, but I believe the rest of the episode have them (although I am just checking on an ep by ep basis as I go through the series). If you could confirm the Head On Fort Max StarTV title, though, that'd be squiffy. :) - Chris McFeely 10:18, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
