His name isn't Axle, then. アクセル is either "axel" or "accel" and whoever named this character wouldn't be ambiguous if they meant "axle", which is rendered as アクスル. -eru is also never how they'd render the English -əl syllable (like in eagle, bugle, ladle, apple, etc.), it's always -uru.
