Earth's Children is a group from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Earth's Children (or Children of the Earth) is a human movement made up of ordinary citizens who believe their governments are failing to defend Earth from the Transformers, leaving them to take matters into their own hands. They primarily involve themselves with sharing information about how to survive Transformer attacks... that and laser guns for personal protection. Their spokesperson is Ben Simpson.

Behind the scenes, Earth's Children was being manipulated by the Decepticons, Ben Simpson actually being a facsimile construct created by Swindle. By cultivating the group's fear and paranoia, Swindle used them to distribute guns based on Megatron's technology to humans. A Second Chance at Eden Through these weapons, Megatron would be able to subconsciously influence ordinary people into attacking the Autobots on Earth. Altered Carbon

One of the people who acquired a Megatron gun via the Earth's Children message boards was Joe Gladki, who was the first to fall to its influence and try to assassinate Bumblebee. Though Earth's Children had reacted strongly to the recent revelation that the United States government was secretly allied with the Autobots, Ben Simpson officially disavowed any connection between Gladki and his group. He responded to allegations of Earth's Children distributing weaponry by saying it was completely legal, The Demolished Man and that the weapons were perfectly safe. If anything was unsafe, it was the government and their anti-human actions! Altered Carbon

According to Ben Simpson, Earth's Children did not believe claims that the Transformers had finally left Earth. Police Action #1 The group's fate after Simpson turned out to be a Decepticon agent is unknown, though all remaining Transformers actually did leave Earth after that, so maybe things were okay.
