UnshÅ Ishizuka
Unshō Ishizuka (石塚 運昇 Ishizuka Unshō May 16, 1951-August 13, 2018) was a Japanese voice actor who was affiliated with Aoni Production and was best known for playing both the Narrator and Professor Oak on Pokémon. He is also known for voicing Jet Black on Cowboy Bebop, Van Hohenheim on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Dr. Gel on Space Dandy, Sergei Smirnov on Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Zabuza Momochi on Naurto, Kizaru on One Piece, the Void on Berserk, the older Joesph Joestar on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Sen. Steven Armstrong on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Captain Matthews in the Xenosaga trilogy and inherited the roles both of Mr. Satan/Hercule on Dragon Ball Z Kai/Super and Heihachi Mishima in the Tekken series from the late Daisuke Gōri.
In the world of dubbing, he played Horatio Caine (David Caruso) on CSI: Miami, Captain Gantu on Lilo & Stitch, Captain John Price in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Drago on the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon as well the Rat King in one of the dubs of the 1987 cartoon, Pazuzu on the NTV dub of The Exorcist, Prince Charming in the Shrek series and was one of the dub over voices for Liam Neeson, Kevin Spacey, Armand Asante, and Laurence Fishburne.
Ishizuka passed away at age 67 of esophageal cancer.
