Talk:Aligned timeline
Do we need to have a seperate section for the Rescue Bots? So far I don't see anything that implies that they can't exist in the "main" Prime universe. Tom Servo the Great 23:17, 22 December 2011 (EST)
- I would think not. It all seems to be one (mostly) coherent timeline thus far (barring a few contradiction hiccups between such things as WFC and Exodus). --184.13.196.220 19:08, 25 December 2011 (EST)
- Where exactly in the Present Day section would we put it? Mojotron
- I'd be fine with it going before Prime season 1. I know this is speculation instead of fact, but the Rescue Bots' presence (and possible future revelation of not being man-made machines) could have contributed to the rumors Silas heard about living machines walking among humanity. --Sabrblade 23:20, 31 December 2011 (EST)
- I think the issue is best dealt with a quick sentence that says some unspecified time after Optimus Prime arrived on Earth, he established a Rescue Bots team on an island somewhere. Anything more than that is making stuff up more than is comfortable. --ItsWalky 01:30, 1 January 2012 (EST)
- Good point. That'll work better. --Sabrblade 01:34, 1 January 2012 (EST)

Crossfire
Sorry if I made the Crossfire summary too long. I'll shorten it if necessary. -- Spydersix 14:59, 1 April 2012 (EDT)
70 million years ago
Do we actually have a source for that? I don't see it in the history. I've removed it, since events in the comics contradict it. --ItsWalky 02:31, 29 October 2012 (EDT)
- I'm the one who put it in. In several interviews for the game, Matt Tieger referred to the time period of FOC being around that time to explain how Shockwave looked at Earth for inspiration for the Dinobots' altmodes (though, he has also said "65-70 million years ago" at times as well, but "70 million" has been the one of the two more often mentioned). Granted, it's probably authorial intent at this point, but it's all we've had to go by and doesn't contradict anything established by the game itself. --Sabrblade 11:34, 29 October 2012 (EDT)
- Also, a quick Google search shows several websites with this particular body of text repeated on each one:
- The Autobots and Decepticons have been battling each other for centuries, and as a result their beloved home planet of Cybertron is dying. Possible salvation lies in a faraway blue planet discovered orbiting a yellow sun - a planet whose energy resources could save the Transformers from extinction. But who will reach this new planet first? The Autobots who value life and freedom for all beings, or the Decepticons driven by a quest for perfect order and glory. In a struggle that takes place 70 million years before man, the fate of Earth lies in the balance.
- Appearing on so many sites, it had to have come from somewhere. --Sabrblade 15:15, 29 October 2012 (EDT)
- Like many other discrepancies in the Aligned-verse, I suggest that we keep the specific date and time vague. Tom Servo the Great 21:14, 29 October 2012 (EDT)
- We have specific year dates for Rescue Bots's past events, and, again, "70 million years ago" doesn't contradict anything from WFC, FOC, Exodus, or Exiles. And coming from the creators in several official press material gives some precedence to it, rather than just being some random time frame with no credit to it. --Sabrblade 23:57, 29 October 2012 (EDT)
As Sabrblade has been saying, here's the article that has the bit of "70 million years ago". You'll have to scroll down quite a ways, or just CRTL+F "70 million". --Lonegamer78 00:18, 30 December 2012 (EST)
- The blurb for Beast Hunters issue 1 in the back of Rage of the Dinobots #4 says that the events of the Great Exodus happened "thousands of years ago." --ItsWalky 19:22, 20 February 2013 (EST)
- So much for Hasbro's original claim of "millions and millions of years" occurring between the era of WFC/Exodus/FOC/Exlies and the era of Prime. --Sabrblade 23:43, 20 February 2013 (EST)
Prime - The Game
Is there anyway we can put this in here, or isit best that we just ignore it? Mojotron 07:16, 19 December 2012 (EST)
- It's close enough, probably, to pass the "squint test", so it would I guess be a case of making the timeline summary vague enough that it doesn't wildly conflict everything else. That wouldn't answer the question of where to actually put it, though. I mean, Unicron has been and gone, and the Jasper base stands, so it'd go have to somewhere between Orion Pax, Part 3 and Legacy, although given the absence of Smokescreen, probably before New Recruit too. Beyond that, I guess we'd just have to place it arbitrarily, since there's certainly no way of doing so based on the Decepticons' ranks... Jalaguy 09:02, 19 December 2012 (EST)
- Yeah, I agree with that. The Decepticons in the game are essentially a giant clusterf*ck. -- spyderUse this! 09:10, 19 December 2012 (EST)
- The presence of Dreadwing would suggest a post-"Loose Cannons" placement, but then the Insecticons don't join up with the Cons until "Armada", but by then Airachnid's AWOL and stasis locked in the Autobots' care, and Starscream's still a rogue both prior to and at this point and doesn't return to the Cons until "Patch", by which point Smokescreen's around when he isn't in this game andGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! --Sabrblade 17:04, 19 December 2012 (EST)
- Yeah, pretty much. -- spyderUse this! 21:41, 19 December 2012 (EST)
- Ok, I'm gonna get workin' on this. I'm gonna put it after Season 2, and put a note there explaining all this crap. -- spyderUse this! 13:24, 31 December 2012 (EST)
- Okay, after having finally gotten to experience the full story mode of this game... yeah, there is just no fitting in this game without major difficulty. But, if I were to be held at gunpoint and absopositivelutely HAD to force it in somewhere... I'd put in at some point between "Crossfire" and "Armada". Like I said, there's no fitting this game in perfectly, but that's where I'd put it if forced to do so because of Breakdown's absence and Airachnid (who's relatively unimportant to the game's story anyway) isn't in Autobot custody and has Insecticons serving her. Her serving Megatron, and Starscream doing the same, however, still muck up the game's fitting in, though. --Sabrblade 19:07, 23 July 2013 (EDT)

Transformers Universe
Though the game ended up going under, some things did still come about from it. Should we include what little story bits we did get from the game in this timeline? I mean, most of the story stuff that we did get seemed to be setting up the story as a prequel to Prime showing how the Autobots and Decepticons first arrived on Earth and what all went down during the Autobot/Decepticon conflict that was alluded to in the show as happening three years prior to the show's first season. And if we were to add in the game's info, that would technically make General Freeman be Agent Fowler's predecessor as the Autobot's main human military/government ally, right? --Sabrblade (talk) 19:28, 8 March 2015 (EDT)
