Lockdown was among the Decepticons present during Megatron's eulogy for Starscream. When orders went out to bring Megatron Optimus Prime's head, Lockdown was forcibly drafted by Shockwave into sabotaging Soundwave's shuttle. He and Clobber, who had been placed in a similar situation, lamented their unfair lot, only to encounter an unexpected windfall when the Autobot Hot Rod appeared from a GroundBridge. Acting quickly, they captured the Autobot and brought him to Megatron, who decided to use him as a bargaining chip. Unfortunately for them, Hot Rod broke free of his restraints, and their attempts to recapture him inadvertently foiled Shadow Striker's own, allowing the fugitive to escape. - Unlike past characters to bear the "Lockdown" name, who are usually snarky, ruthless and sadistic, this Lockdown is more well-mannered, loyal and cowardly.
