Lockdown was among the Decepticons present during Megatron's eulogy for Starscream. When orders went out to bring Megatron Optimus Prime's head, Lockdown was forcibly drafted by Shockwave into sabotaging Soundwave's shuttle. He and Clobber, who had been placed in a similar situation, were subsequently drafted into Shadow Striker's own plot as bait. The two went outside to lament their unfair lot, only to encounter an unexpected windfall when the Autobot Hot Rod appeared from a GroundBridge. Acting quickly, they captured the Autobot and brought him to Megatron, who decided to use him as a bargaining chip. Unfortunately for them, Hot Rod broke free of his restraints, and their attempts to recapture him inadvertently foiled Shadow Striker's own, allowing the fugitive to escape.
