Cyberverse

  • Clobber (Ultra Class, 2020)
Released as part of the reinvented Ultra Class lineup, Cyberverse Clobber is a Voyager-sized mold that transforms from robot into a Cybertronian bomber craft. (Yes, the alt-mode is a flying one despite looking like a ground-based tank.) Like other Ultra Class toys, Clobber features a flip-out armor gimmick and is armed with her vehicle mode cannon.

Notes

  • Clobber is obviously designed to be a new version of Lugnut, the fanatically loyal Decepticon from Transformers Animated; however, she was given a new name after Hasbro objected to making a character bearing the "Lugnut" name female for... some reason, as revealed at SDCC 2019.[1] Evidently, this change came rather late; she's still called Lugnut in some of the dubs for non-English speaking markets. In addition, the backside of her toy packaging uses the masculine inflection of "Bruiser" for her function in French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Clobber (クローバー Kurōbā)
  • French: Lugnut
