During the Ark crew's search for the AllSpark, Kup was among the Autobots that stayed on Cybertron to fight off Decepticon forces. Upon their return with the artifact, he assisted them in their battle to restore the planet, during which he groaned how he was getting too old for this warfare. He was later assaulted by Lockdown only to be saved by Whirl. The Battle For Cybertron II
