During the Ark crew's search for the AllSpark, Kup was among the Autobots who stayed on Cybertron to fight off Decepticon forces. Upon their return with the artifact, he assisted them in their battle to restore the planet, during which he took down a Seeker in jet mode with his bare hands before groaning how he was getting too old for this warfare.
