Bishop interviews a monstrous bot about a recent infestation of bugs.

Synopsis

All over Cybertron, city-states are being attacked by metal-eating bugs. Hoping to figure out where they've come from, Bishop has invited supposed Autobot entomologist Repugnus onto the show. Repugnus guesses that its the result of mechanimal importers, having sold the larva to those who thought they were cute pets. Repugnus notes that he likes to train his to rip apart intruders, and an exasperated Bishop realizes too late that Repugnus isn't an entomologist, the Autobot not even knowing what the term means.

Continuity notes

• The Virulent Clones were seen infesting Trigon in "The Coming Storm: Part 2".

Transformers references

• Repugnus was one of the Autobot Monsterbots from the original toyline, who was among the 1987 product who never got a chance to appear in the fourth season of the Transformers cartoon. His use of the Virulent Clones seems to be a call back to his Universe incarnation; like the clones, he was a redeco of Beast Wars Buzzclaw.
• The Ancient Autobot above the image of the Virulent Clone reads "BUGS!" The Ancient Autobot on Repugnus' screen, meanwhile, reads "ABN: REPUGNUS ENTOMOLOGIST".
