Not a cowboy. Or a scoundrel.

Francis Lax (April 16, 1930 - March 13, 2013) was a French voice actor. He gave his voice for an impressive list of characters and actors, including Tom Selleck in Magnum, P.I., Harrison Ford in the Star Wars trilogy and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, [avid Soul in Starsky and Hutch, Scooter in GoBots and that hippie in Scooby-Doo. Bumblebee kinda sounded like him, actually.

Similarly, his interpretation of Optimus Prime may sound like "Howling Mad" Murdock imitating Peter Cullen.

The European French dub of The Transformers was pretty casual about maintaining voice actor continuity across episodes.
