TV-Loonland
TV-Loonland was a German brand management company. In 2000, Loonland acquired Sunbow Productions from Sony Wonder and subsequently became the master license holder of several Hasbro television series, including The Transformers and G.I. Joe , as well as the Japanese Transformers spin-off series The Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce and Victory. Soon afterwards, Loonland purchased UK DVD distributor Metrodome.
After coming into severe financial trouble, TV-Loonland sold the worldwide rights of the Sunbow television series based on Hasbro's properties to Hasbro for a total $US 7 million , presumably in a desperate attempt to garner quick money. The deal was reported on May 14, 2008.[1] In November of 2009, TV-Loonland filed for bankruptcy. The TV-Loonland content library, including non-Hasbro Sunbow programs, was eventually bought out by m4e in 2011.
