- Z Production is a business from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Z Production claims to make movies, but is actually a front for Decepticon mischief. Despite this, they are apparently able to get a crew and a director on short notice.
Their logo is a blackface caricature with a cavalier hat.
Fiction
Super-God Masterforce cartoon
A producer from Z Production referring to himself as "Billy Hyler" met with Ginrai at a diner. There, he asked Ginrai if he wanted to drive a truck in his film full of driving stunts, as he heard Ginrai's driving technique was "unparalleled". Ginrai accepted.
At the shooting location, S. Pakinper and a crew were already present and Pakinper wanted Ginrai to drive a green truck. However, Hyler suggested that he drive his more familiar truck. The course Ginrai was to drive through was known to have five explosions that Ginrai had to avoid, but Buster planted two more. At the conclusion of the stunt, Ginrai hit one of the extra explosives, separating his cab from his trailer. The Z Production crew was confused at the extra explosion, but did not press the subject when Hydra and Buster showed up to attack the trailer in jet mode. Notes
- The Z Production logo is a mashup of the Toei logo and the old Takara logo. The former is "Pero", Toei's interpretation of Puss 'n Boots. The latter is... "Dakko-Chan", a blackface doll. Unfortunately, the face in the mashup isn't Pero's.
