Gaia Armor

Once a puppet under the control of the Dark God Unicron, the Gaia Armor was forged by a warrior from another world using ancient technology to transform a weapon of evil into a tool of good. No longer linked to the Chaos-Bringer, the Gaia Armor is nonetheless saturated with his abominable essence in the form of Dark Energon, and only the most strong-willed and virtuous can hope to don it without being warped into a diabolical mockery of their former self.

After the defeat of Unicron's material avatars, Leo Prime used the power of his ancient sword to carve one of the carcasses up into a suit of armor of frightening power. He left the Gaia Armor in the care of Optimus Prime, along with a warning to neither let it fall into Megatron's hands nor to let himself fall under its corrupting sway. Optimus Prime + Gaia Unicron
Prime cartoon
Awakened by the restoration of Cybertron, Unicron cast around for a new vessel for his anti-spark, and found Megatron's body at the bottom of the ocean. Reconstructing and reviving Megatron, Unicron took possession of his body and flew to Cybertron with the aim of destroying Primus once and for all. He arrived at Megatron's old fortress of Darkmount, where he fought four Autobots. Dissatisfied by his new body's performance in battle, he tracked down Predaking, whom Megatron claimed was a loyal warrior. After a brief fight, Unicron prevailed and learned of the existence of a burial ground of Predacon remains. He used his Dark Energon to revive the Predacons as an army of Terrorcons, and led them across the Hydrax Plateau to the Well of All Sparks. While the Terrorcons poured into the Well, Unicron felt the return of the AllSpark, which Optimus Prime had just brought back to the planet. Unicron easily bested Prime in battle, and obtained the vessel, only to find it empty. The vessel instead drew Unicron's anti-spark into itself, sealing the dark god inside and freeing Megatron from his will. Megatron then regained control of his body, having been changed by his time while under Unicorn's control and den ounces the Decepticon army, and flew off. Predacons Rising

- Gaia Unicron (9-29-2012)

- Part of the seventh wave of Japanese Prime toys, Gaia Unicron is an all-new mold which transforms from Unicron's robot mode into a space cruiser which looks a lot more like Unicron's face on a volcano. He also partsforms into "Gaia Armor" for either Voyager Optimus Prime or Megatron, which more or less leaves most of his mass hanging off the wearer's butt. The Gaia Armor features a "loincloth" panel which has one of each of the 3 Arms Micron Power crystals, not unlike Hades' tail. Though his sticker sheet comes with Decepticon symbols for his shoulders, there are also optional Blentron stickers.
- Compared to his stock photography, most (if not all) Gaia Unicrons have mis-assembled knees, with two small gray parts on the inner portions of his knees being swapped, thus restricting his knee articulation. This cannot be fixed without knocking out a few pins. Additionally, his soft plastic wings are prone to drying out and cracking with age, primarily near their connection points.

- This Asian-exclusive redeco of Gaia Unicron features a sticker-less, extensive paint-job, coating his shoulder-pads and large club-arm in shiny metallic paints that match his vacuum-metallized parts, with some additional glossy-black and metallic-magenta paint details here and there. Gaia Unicron's knees are still mis-assembled.

Cyberverse
- Unicron Megatron (Cyberverse Commander, 2014)

- Part of the final wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Unicron Megatron is a straight redeco of Series 2 Cyberverse Commander Class Megatron, reflecting his depiction following his resurrection at the hands of Unicron in Predacons Rising. His "Dark Energon sword" is a minimal recolor of the original Megatron's Cyber sword, in a slightly darker, more saturated shade of purple. As a straight redeco of a series 2 figure, Unicron Megatron is the only series 3 Commander Class figure to feature translucent plastic parts.
- Due to being released after the Christmas season and before the launching of the Age of Extinction toy line, Unicron Megatron and the other figures of his wave were ultimately only available in Hong Kong, Canada and Europe.
Construct-Bots
- Unicron Megatron with Ratbat and Barrage (Triple Team, 2014)
- Based on Prime Megatron's appearance when he was possessed by Unicron, Unicron Megatron transforms into a Cybertronian jet encrusted with rocks. He comes with tiny minions Barrage and Ratbat. He is armed with a massive sword and a projectile launching cannon with beetle mandibles.
- Like pretty much every other Beast Hunters Construct-Bot, Unicron Megatron and his little minions never saw release in the United States.
