"The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the white zone."
"No, the white zone is for loading of passengers and there is no stopping in a RED zone."

The Airport Base (エアポートベース Eapōto Bēsu), alias Overair, is a key component of the Zone Base, serving as the complex's spaceport, where owner and operator Overair welcomes visitors to planet Zone from all over the galaxy. Like all the components of the Zone Base, the Airport Base can transform into a defensive battle station, armed with surface-to-air missiles to intercept any intruders into Zone airspace.

Fiction

Zone cartoon, manga, and story pages

Upon the creation of the Zone Base, Overair was put in charge of the Airport Base. Zone Part 4

When the Decepticon Generals invaded Zone, the Airport Base attempted to fend the villains off. It transformed from its airport form into a massive artillery platform and let the Decepticons have it with volley after volley of completely and utterly pointless firepower. No matter how much firing was done, no actual damage was done to the Decepticons, who managed to make off with a sample of Energon Z. Fight! "Bad news. The fog's getting thicker."
"And Leon is getting laaaaarrrrrger."
  • Airport Base (Micromaster Station, 1990)
    • Japanese ID number: C-342
    • Accessories: 2 missiles, ramp
The Airport Base transforms from a blue, grey and orange airport into a "launch station" armed with two large missiles. The universally-sized ramp packaged with the station allows it to link up to every other Micromaster Station and Micromaster Transport. It is identical to the Decepticon airport released the previous year by Hasbro, which was packaged with the Decepticon Micromaster Airwave, himself identical to Overair.

War for Cybertron: Earthrise

Wait... how did I become a space station? Wasn’t I an airplane in the previous line?
  • Botropolis Rescue Mission (Galactic Odyssey Collection, 2021)
    • Accessories: 2 barrels, blaster base
Released as part of the Encounter 5 set of the Earthrise Galactic Odyssey Collection, Overair is an Autobot-aligned redeco of Airwave. The now-sentient base is named after their Micromaster partner, although Overair was already named in the Siege toyline. Overair keeps a similar deco layout but has a different color scheme from their original toy (since the Zone set was identical to its American counterpart), intended to represent a grounded space station.
Overair has multiple A.I.R. Lock System connection points allowing for multiple building configurations, both official and fan-made. They transform via part-forming into either an airbase with tiny runways or a gun embankment, similarly to their Zone release, as well as a new treaded aircraft carrier form. Overair's parts can also be used to augment other figures as armor and add-on weapons, similar to the Weaponizers of the prior Siege toyline. Although Overair has swivels just above their elbows, the construction of their forearms makes them almost completely useless, as turning them at any angle other than straight forward, back or to the sides will lock the elbow in place.
According to the giftset's stock photography, Overair is intended to combine with their pack-in mate Ironworks to form a giant space station not too dissimilar to the Rocket Base, which is enhanced by the addition of Earthrise Doubledealer's two-piece missile, which attaches to Overair.
Overair is part of an Amazon-exclusive six-pack consisting exclusively of Autobots, bundled with fellow Modulator Ironworks and the (currently unnamed) Astro Squad Micromasters.
This mold was also used to make Generations Selects Hot House.
