Incinerator (Armada)

Incinerator is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Incinerator is all about the speed, man. His goal is to be the fastest Mini-Con there is, and then be even faster. Sensitive about his light frame and physical weaknesses, Incinerator turned to his one major talent, high-speed racing, and ran with it (literally). Even the Decepticons' aerial warriors have a hard time keeping up with him.

If anyone suspects that Incinerator's quest for speed is an attempt to make up for his physical deficiencies, they only need hear him talk for five minutes to confirm it. Incinerator is clearly out to earn adulation and praise to feel better about himself, and any kind of negative comment can put him in a funk.

Incinerator's Mini-Con storage panel was found in the desert by Demolishor during a battle with the Autobots, but just as he teleported back to his base in gloating victory, new Autobot reinforcement Blurr shot the panel right out of his hands, caught it in midair and activated it. Incinerator chose to partner with Blurr in thanks for saving him, but this did not sit well with the taciturn Autobot warrior, as he had little regard for the Mini-Cons beyond keeping them out of Decepticon hands. Soon afterward, Downshift's storage panel was detected at a race track, and during the ensuing struggle with the Decepticons, Blurr powerlinked with Incinerator to fly ahead of Hot Shot and Jolt in an attempt to keep Downshift away from the Decepticons. However, Blurr's disregard for coordinated teamwork and his arrogance led to the loss of the Mini-Con, and the Decepticons were able to complete the mighty Skyboom Shield. Reinforcement

Later, Blurr and Incinerator powerlinked again while attempting to save Optimus Prime from Megatron and the power of the Star Saber. Decisive Battle When the titanic Tidal Wave appeared on Earth, both Blurr and Hot Shot powerlinked with Incinerator and Jolt respectively to speed past the Decepticon lines and attack Tidal Wave directly. Incinerator could be seen combined with Blurr when the Decepticons launched an attack on the Autobot base, during which Starscream, then having allied himself with the Autobots, decided to return to his Decepticon brethren. Crack

After Optimus Prime's death, Incinerator was one of a group of Mini-Cons who confronted the angst-ridden Hot Shot, forcing the young 'bot to come to terms with the loss of his leader. Remorse

Dreamwave Armada comic

Incinerator was first seen aiding Mini-Con village C52 against the Decepticons by activating the four shield regulators. Of course these were absolutely useless as the Decepticons broke into the village and captured the Mini-Cons. Armada #1 However, while the Decepticons were gloating over their victorious battle with the Autobots (who lacked Mini-Cons), Sparkplug and the Air Defense Team infiltrated Decepticon Headquarters and rescued the imprisoned Mini-Cons. Wishing to be free of the Decepticons forever, they escaped Cybertron in a space ship the Air Defense Team had constructed out of junk. Armada #2 One day, he looked out the window and noticed that they were heading straight towards a moon. Armada #3

Much later, Incinerator had become an inhabitant of Dualor's Mini-Con Moonbase on the moon, but due to its subsequent destruction, he and the other Mini-Cons were relocated to the Autobase on Earth. Already chafing at having to live with the Autobots, Rook demanded that the Mini-Cons cut off all ties with the Autobots, a move that Incinerator strongly supported. Fire & Ice

Incinerator and the rest of the Mini-Cons on Earth later gathered for the impending battle with Unicron. They traveled to the Loop on Cybertron, where they channeled their energies into the Mini-Con Matrix and fired a massive blast at the Chaos Bringer. The End

Incinerator transforms into a Cybertronic long-nosed drag racer. He is specially designed to fit in the rear section of Blurr's vehicle form, activating the bulk's third "flight" mode. Naturally, he was only available packaged with Blurr.

The Takara version of Incinerator has some slight deco differences from the Hasbro version, the most notable being his red windscreen as opposed to the Hasbro dark blue one, but his plastics are also slightly different shades, matching up with the Takara Blurr's colors.

This mold was also used to make Universe Roadhandler and Wrench.

In November of 2003, US Toys"R"Us stores had special bonus pack Max-Con (Deluxe) toys, which came with a single bonus Mini-Con attached to the card over their sticker, for less than the price as a normal Max-Con during Toys"R"Us' post-Thanksgiving-day sale. Like Sideways, Blurr/Incinerator could come with one of the Destruction Mini-Con Team members: Buzzsaw, Drill Bit, or Dualor.
