An unfortunate fate befell Croaton due to the machinations of the Threefold Spark.

2019 IDW continuity

During the War of the Threefold Spark, Croaton was the only Titan "usurped" by Exarchon. In response, the people of Cybertron had no choice but to destroy the Titan utterly. The fragmentary remains of his body became the Croaton Cloud, a thin ring of dust and debris that orbited Cybertron's sun. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay
