An unfortunate fate befell Croaton due to the machinations of the Threefold Spark.

2019 IDW continuity

During the War of the Threefold Spark, Croaton was the only Titan "usurped" by Exarchon, his Spark consumed and replaced by that of the mad Cybertronian's. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part One In response, the Titan Citadel took up arms against him, destroying what was left of Croaton entirely Titans with an imploder. Light/Star The fragmentary remains of his body became the Croaton Cloud, a thin ring of dust and debris that orbited Cybertron's sun. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay Croaton's fate spooked Nominus Prime enough for him to forbid the remaining Titans from taking part in the rest of the war. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part One Following the war, Citadel grieved for Croaton, even continuing to do so when he entered stasis lock. Titans
