"Hey." "Yeah?" "You ever wonder why we're here?"

Rooster Teeth Productions is an American media and entertainment company based in Austin, Texas. The company was founded on April 1, 2003 when it began production of the machinima series Red vs. Blue, which has gone on to become one of the longest-running webseries of all time. Since then, the company has expanded and produced several other projects, including live-action productions, independent films, music videos, and animated series such as RWBY and gen:LOCK. Rooster Teeth also produces extensive gaming content as part of their "Let's Play" network, and is the parent of several other channels such as Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, Inside Gaming, and Death Battle. The company is currently owned by Otter Media, a division of WarnerMedia, and serves as the home of several former Machinima series following that site's shutdown, including the Prime Wars Trilogy cartoons.

In February 2019, it was announced that Rooster Teeth would be producing the War for Cybertron Trilogy animated series, which premiered on Netflix in July of the following year.

Notes

  • Outside of War for Cybertron Trilogy, Transformers characters have made unofficial appearances in various Rooster Teeth productions. Most prominently, Optimus Prime fought the RX-78-2 Gundam in Death Battle, and was later featured in an episode of its Death Race spinoff series. The same applies for Starscream himself as he fought Rainbow Dash of My Little Pony fame in Death Battle proper.
