Make The Change was a contest that took place at Toyland stores during the year of 1999. Its goal was to promote the newly released Animorphs toyline and the Transmetal 2 subline of the Beast Wars toyline. Sponsorship for the contest was provided by Fox Kids, Hasbro, Nickelodeon, and Scholastic. The contest was also manufactured as a means to advertise both the Beast Wars and Animorphs television series that were airing at the time.

The competition itself involved racing another contestant to see who could transform a Transformers toy the quickest.

Awards

[edit]
"T" for "totally going to wash off the next time I take a bath/shower/
walk in the rain."
  • Participants were awarded a certificate that asserted that they indeed successfully changed a Transformers figure at the "Make the Change" event, featuring art of Stinkbomb and Jake (pictured above). You know, for bragging rights. Not that those two characters were anyone's favorite at the time, either.
  • Participants were also given a rub-on tattoo of a stylized "T" in the same font that the word "Transformers" is spelled out in the Beast Machines logo.
