- The Black Viper Go-Bot was to have been a character from the Generation 2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The "Black Viper Go-Bot" is a mysterious individual.

1995)- Accessories: Rifle
- Planned as a Go-Bot item for Generation 2, this character transforms into a black Dodge Viper. The figure has through-axle construction to allow for super-fast rolling in car mode. Like its fellow "new"-mold teammates, the figure's rifle stores under the car mode. Ultimately, it went unreleased, and the character it was intended to represent remains unknown, if Hasbro ever made a decision.
- This mold was eventually used to make the Spy Changer version of Robots in Disguise Side Burn and the 2003 Universe version of Generation 1 Jazz.
Notes
- The ad hoc designation "Black Viper" was used in a "Toys For Tots" charity auction listing at BotCon 1996.
- "Black Viper" and "Purple Mercedes" either did not have package art commissioned by Hasbro or else the artwork has since been lost. Alas, this means they do not get to appear in Legacy: The Art of Transformers Packaging, which did include Rumble, "4X", "911", and Hound.
- Your guess is as good as ours as to which faction this character would have belonged.
