The Maximals cannot stop Unicron as he presses towards Cybertron.

Synopsis

On board the Dinosaur, Guiledart is poised to take command in place of the missing Magmatron, but is quickly challenged by Archadis. It quickly becomes clear that the other Predacons have rallied behind the latter and his plan to ally with Unicron, drawing their weapons on the former. Guiledart can only eulogize himself as he’s blasted by his comrades, sending him out of the ship and floating through space. DNAVI’s scans for Unicron show he is massacring his way through Maximal outposts in a direct line towards Cybertron.

Unicron and the Blentrons are busying themselves with just that at the moment, effortlessly obliterating outposts and warping to the next to repeat the process. Before they can attack another, the Predacons materialize before them, proclaiming their loyalty. The Blentrons are not very interested but Unicron offers them a test: Bring him the head of Big Convoy. The Predacons agree and teleport away, while Unicron muses the threat he sees in the Maximal commander.

Aboard the Gung Ho, NAVI has similarly plotted Unicrons course and it’s believed he’s heading for the remains of his original body near Cybertron. Through his connection with Vector Sigma, Big Convoy has a sense of worry regarding Unicrons real intentions. Convoy orders the ship warp to the “Triple-Z point”, explaining to the recruits that this was the area where Unicrons remains after his original defeat was kept. His plan is to stop Unicron from remerging with his old body, trapping him in the energy-based likeness of Galvatron, which will eventually weaken and disperse.

As the Maximals go into hyperspace, they are also being tracked by the Dinosaur. Archadis orders that they follow them into warp space, and is forced to beg the flighty DNAVI to initiate the dangerous maneuver. Within the warp dimension, the dinosaur closes on the shieldless Gung Ho and, single minded in his mission for Unicron, Archadis ignores the protests of his comrades and rams the ships together. The Predacons teleport onto the Gung Ho and, taking control, lock all the disoriented Maximals in their respective rooms, save Big Convoy, who they locate on the bridge.

The predacons enter into a standoff with Big Convoy, but stay his hand with a reminder of the catastrophic result on the ship and crew should a battle break out in warp. Archadis orders DNAVI to teleport them and Convoy back to the dinosaur, but panics when she does not answer. DNAVI is currently in the clutches of Guiledart, who’d returned to the ship and hidden until the right moment, to DNAVI’s mild relief. He orders her to teleport only the other Predacons into warp space, to which she reluctantly agrees. The panicked Predacons are teleported away and ensnared by an external claw from the Dinosaur. Separating the ships, Guiledart salutes the Maximals and wishes them luck against Unicron as the Gung Ho continues on.

The freed Maximal recruits arrive on the bridge and are filled in on the Predacons attack by Convoy just as they exit warp space. They are met by a monstrous mass of black gas, which convoy realizes means Unicron has gotten ahead of them. The Blentrons emerge from it and attack the ship, forcing the Maximals to exit and take the fight to the enemy. The Blentrons box the Maximals together but Heinrad’s "Time Freeze" allows him to turn the enemy attacks on each other. With the opening, the Maximals turn the tide and their enemy quickly retreats.

The black gas begins to subside, revealing the ruined husk of Unicrons original body. The Maximals realize such a form would be useless; Big Convoy theorizes that Unicron would know this as well before having a horrified epiphany. Convoy quickly has the troops return to the ship and plots a warp course for Cybertron. The Blentrons return to Unicron, who knows Big Convoy has deduced his intentions and looks on towards Cybertron, Just as the Gung Ho appears. Convoy calls out Unicron for his true scheme: to take Cybertron itself as his new form and replace Vector Sigma as the Transformers’ god.

Unicron and Convoy exchange attacks but the tide again turns when the space around Cybertron is filled with a massive armada of ships: The Maximal Battel Fleet. The second Great War against Unicron is poised to begin.
