Once the beating heart of the Angolmois-powered joint human-Cybertronian super-civilization of 2050, Neo Scramble City (ネオスクランブルシティ Neo Sukuranburu Shiti) is primarily known to history as the site of the final battle for Earth as we know it.
Like Scramble City before it, Neo Scramble City incorporates living Transformers into its fabric, including Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, and a whole bunch of Selectors.

Generations Selects Special Comic
Optimus Prime arrives at Neo Scramble City and is welcomed by Atari Hitotonari. Both share their misgivings with the use of the Unicron-derived Angolmois Energy. Optimus meets with Spike Witwicky to express his discontent with the use of Angolmois Energy and the Selectors, but their meeting is interrupted by Hound, who reports a time warp taking place on Dinobot Island. Realizing that the evacuation of Angolmois Energy must be causing it, Optimus has Carly call her old friends, the Dinobots, to warn them of the temporal incursion.
Optimus Prime confronts Megatron and begs him to stop, as the war is long over. Megatron corrects his counterpart, pointing out that this is a revolution. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings", no? Megatron asks why the Selectors—super robots like them—don't deserve the same freedom from the humans as their freedom from the Quintessons. Optimus struggles to answer. Volcanicus comic 1
Optimus Prime, on behalf of the Cybertron Alliance, makes an announcement to humanity that their demand is simple: Freedom for the Selectors and their own independent nation on Earth. This plan hits a snag as the Dinobots finally arrive at Neo Scramble City, their tempers inflamed by the comatose Carly Witwicky. The angered Dinobots head off to fight the combined Autobot-Decepticon army. One by one, Autobot and Decepticon alike fall to the might of the Dinobots. Shockwave attempts to use his upgraded body to fight Grimlock, but even he isn't of much use against his bestial strength. Optimus Prime finally faces off against the Dinobot leader and begs him to stop...
Sick of being told to calm down, Grimlock prepares a decapitating strike on Optimus Prime, but finds that he cannot follow through, his Magma Blade stopping inches before Optimus's neck. Optimus again tells him to calm down and think back to his original construction, revealing that, fearing the Dinobots' brute strength and primitive minds, the Autobots installed a failsafe inside them that would allow for acts of rebellion and dissent, but prevent the taking of a life. Rung is furious at this revelation, arguing that it proves the Dinobots were built as slaves to the Autobots, making them no different from the humans or Quintessons. Grimlock then chews out the already-shocked Prime, arguing that, since they were built stupid, the Dinobots never had any freedom or respect in the first place. The only people who had ever respected them were the humans, and that, Grimlock explains, is why they are fighting against the Cybertron Alliance as the humans' allies. Optimus falls to his knees, now fully cognizant of how many mistakes he's made. The fight is not over yet, however, as Sky Lynx arrives, having beaten the other four Dinobots, ready to take on Grimlock.
Grimlock and the Technobots then combine into Volcaticon, who asks Sky Lynx to team up with them, both being dinosaur-type robots. Sky Lynx declines, calling Grimlock an idiot while he fights for all Selectors. From within the combination, Grimlock asserts that he'll just get smarter, downloading Computron's intelligence back into himself. The Technobots lock on to Sky Lynx's weaknesses and Volcaticon fires an electric pulse, splitting Sky Lynx apart and leaving him paralyzed, but very much alive. Grimlock then explains how he became intelligent by absorbing data from Vector Sigma all those years ago, then resolves to use his intellect to find a peaceful solution to the Selectors' rebellion.
Corrosive gas bombs are dropped on the assembled Transformers, with Grimlock and Optimus both giving the command to take defensive positions. As Optimus grimly notes that they only have three minutes to survive, Rodimus points out five incoming warriors coming from the moonlit sky... Volcanicus comic 2
Sent on behalf of the Quintessons to assist the humans against the Selectors, Autobots, and Decepticons, the Terrorcons leap out of the sky and immediately attack their opponents. Volcanicus and Computron unfortunately don't fare well, as Computron's transfer of his intelligence to the other combiner has removed their respective and unique abilities of beastly battlelust and super-computation. Megatron tries to rein in his former underlings, but Hun-Gurrr pays little attention as he consumes a Smashdown and a Soundbarrier. With the power of Angolmois Energy, he converts the Selectors into a snake robot that he spits at his former leader.
Rippersnapper tears into Red Alert and is about to strike Inferno with his Angolmois Ball attack, but it's blocked by a wall of Doublecrossers! The wall, however, is simply picked up by Cutthroat and the poor Selectors are fed to his brood of Pteraxadons, whom he's grown and expanded with an stolen Energon Matrix and the power of Angolmois. Nearby, Blot takes down Orthia with his noxious slime gun, splitting the combiner into her Female Autobot components. Elita One realizes that, since being empowered with Angolmois Energy, Blot's oil contains anti-electrons and the corroding gas is emanating from his very body.
Optimus Prime struggles to get up, calling the situation hell, to which Sinnertwin, self-stylized "Watchdog of Hell", gleefully explains that the Selectors' sparks won't be joining the heavenly Allspark; instead, they'll be fed into the Transformers' new "hell"—the Hellspark within Hun-Gurrr's base mode. Both Optimus and Megatron remark on the deadly power Angolmois Energy has given the Terrorcons... Abominus comic 1
The Angolmois Energy eruptions continue, with more Transformers being corrupted, inside and outside, by it. Megatron Omega recovers from his seemingly fatal injury, and Computron retrieves his intelligence from Volcanicus. With Superion and Defensor, Computron makes an attempt on Abominus, but his Angolmois Energy attack forces the combiners to split apart... and they recover as Comperian! Abominus is knocked over to Bruticus and Menasor and forcibly takes their limbs to become Abomenaticus.
Optimus Prime faces off against Megatron Omega, begging him to stand down, but unable to pull the trigger on his friend. Megatron has no compunctions, though, and simply shoots Optimus down. Megatron Omega screams, declaring that humanity will be exiled from Earth and that all of the planet's Angolmois Energy belongs to him. With it, he shall surpass Unicron himself. Abomenaticus doesn't take well to this claim, reforming Abominus who says that the planet belongs to the strongest—himself, not Megatron or the Quintessons.
Optimus Prime recovers with the power of the Reconfiguration Matrix. Thanks to Megatron's Angolmois beam, Optimus Prime's memory has been restored—he now remembers his 2011 self's time in the past universe, where they can find answers to the crisis currently taking place in 2050! Abominus continues his fight against Megatron Omega, but the balance of power is skewered towards Megatron, whose status as a being rebuilt by Unicron himself gives him an advantage against the secondhand construction of the Terrorcons. Abominus is knocked away, and the resulting crash frees the sparks trapped in his Hellspark (which Optimus Prime orders Wheeljack to gather). Megatron Omega makes one decisive Angolmois blast at Abominus, but it is blocked by Volcanicus using his Angolmois-made Magma Blade. Optimus Prime, knowing what must be done, orders the Dinobots to prepare for a warp hole and go through to discover the secrets of Angolmois Energy so that they can return Megatron to normal. The warp hole from Primus appears and Abominus, wanting to know those secrets as well, tags along. Abominus comic 2
