Lodestar shine down on my home town, fill my memory, light my way.

Smaller and younger than other members of her kin, Lodestar was one of the only Titans who had never entered hibernation or joined her fellow Titans in orbit over Cybertron, preferring to remain active and serve the current Autobot government along with her cityspeaker. The Change In Your Nature Part Five Just before the outbreak of the Great War, Lodestar carried First Senator Sentinel Prime, his retinue, and various alien delegates into space for a tour of Cybertron's colonies. The World In Your Eyes Part Three Nautica: Home

However, escalating political tensions on Cybertron peaked with the sudden murders of Brainstorm and Rubble, prompting Sentinel Prime to cut the tour short. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part One Visiting aliens departed, though diplomats stationed on Cybertron remained aboard for the journey back. While Lodestar was departing Hexagon, an extremist Thraal infiltrator attempted to deploy an autonomous artificial-life bomb against the Cybertronian flagship in retaliation for Cybertron protecting the last of the A'ovan, though Lightbright, Road Rage, and Nautica foiled this gambit. Nautica: Home Soon, Lodestar arrived on Cybertron, landing in Iacon to disgorge her VIP passengers. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Four

Some time later, members of The Rise carried out a terrorist attack on the planet's Titan Net as part of a plot to awaken Vigilem, preventing the authorities from rousing the planet's defense fleet. As the only conscious Titan, one who had never linked into the network, Lodestar was left as the only other active Titan, forcing Blaster to press both her and Lightbright to try and intercept Vigilem. Lodestar's hails failed to elicit a response; although it soon became clear that Vigilem could not be reasoned with, Lodestar quickly found herself outmatched by Vigilem and helpless to prevent him from ravaging the Winged Moon and the Tether. Her hull breached, Lodestar mustered the last of her strength to warn Lightbright that the Tether was collapsing. The Change In Your Nature Part Five

Crippled but alive, Lodestar limped to Polyhex for repairs but remained grounded. Orion Pax opined to Sentinel that security around the Titan should be beefed up. All Fall Down Visiting the site, Orion told Lightbright to take Lodestar to the Black Hub for a weaponized refit once she was repaired, lest Vigilem decide to return. Swindle's

Soon repaired, Lodestar left for the Black Hub. Given that she was still the only active Titan, and was going to pick a fight to Vigilem, this gave Blaster cause for worry. Tremors

After a weapons refit at the the Black Hub, she later learned the Technical Solutions team will be supporting them on this deep space mission. As they get underway, Lodestar and Lightbright both raise their concerns about the Imploder Scattershot's men have brought aboard; although Scattershot points out that it's a weapon of last resort, the Titan dislikes the idea of transporting the same device that killed Croaton during the War of the Threefold Spark. To keep Lodestar mind off of it. This cause Lodestar to confine to Lodestar that she doesn't wish to kill Vigilem of which her cityspeakers agree with. Transformers Annual 2021.

Notes

  • For Lodestar's on-panel debut in Transformers #10, Brian Ruckley left the specifics of her design up to artist Anna Malkova, who deliberately gave her a design which was as overwrought as possible.[1]
  • Lodestar is the first known female Titan in Transformers fiction.
  • A lodestar is a guiding star, traditionally used to set one's course by in sea navigation. Fitting for a wayfaring Titan.
