Piercer is a Mini-Con from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Piercers have reached celebrity status in the gladiatorial ring, and it has turned them into pompous braggarts. Though opponents have attempted to learn to counteract them, none have succeeded.

The Mini-Cons were all brought to Earth from another dimension by Micronus Prime and could be found by humans in the Guardian Program equipped with an Autobot Scanner modified with Decepticon technology. Once located and recruited by paying them Energon, Piercers could be partnered with Autobots to give them new abilities. Transformers: Heavy Metal

• Abilities granted by Piercer include:
  • Spear — Inflicts damage which ignores armor.
  • Overload — Opponent takes damage based on their current armor.
  • Shield Shatter — Destroy armor and do an equal amount of damage.
