Beast Wars Neo crew

My understanding was that the Angolmois energy was what the BW2 Maximals used to create the Neo races. It had been used in that manner before (LCjr,BC,Magma), they had reason to have it, and how else WOULD THEY have turned organic creatures into TFs?
