Puffer

Puffer is an Autobot from the War for Cybertron Trilogy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

"I'm Huff and I'm Puff, and I blow your wallet down."

After the quantum surge caused a time vortex, Autobots Pipes and Huffer were fused into Puffer, and alongside GoBot Road Ranger, were pulled to prehistoric Earth. Despite their rather bizarre origin, they can still tussle with the best of them.

War for Cybertron: Kingdom "Autobot Puffer" is a retool of the Huffer from the same line, packaged alongside fellow retool Road Ranger in "Chapter 1: Through the Vortex" of the "Golden Disk Collection". Puffer is based on Pipes's original toy, with new shoulders, forearms, hands, wheels, chest, crotch, head, accessories, and an additional transformation step to turn the cab upside down in robot mode. They transform into a cab-over truck in 16 steps, and the pipe blasters can store on the back or smokestacks. Their robot mode is covered in 5 mm ports as part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System/F.O.S.S.I.L. Technology. They also have a torso transformation joint that functions as an ab-crunch.

As an extra feature, Puffer can tow Earthrise Optimus Prime's trailer (or any of its redecoes), a carryover from Huffer.

The two-pack is an Amazon and Hasbro Pulse exclusive in the U.S., and exclusive to Hasbro Pulse in Canada and the U.K.

Notes

• Puffer is based on a European variant of the "Generation 1" Pipes toy, which was the original Huffer toy in Pipes's colors; "Puffer" originated as a fan nickname for the figure (a portmanteau of Pipes and Huffer, you see). The name was also used for the similarly colored IGA Pipes toy.
