In the inner sanctum of the headquarters of the Primus Vanguard lies their holiest of holies: the Statue of The One (ザ·ワンの像 Za Wan no Zō), an effigy of their master's master and the creator god of the Precursor World.

Fiction

Precursor World

A statue of Primus's legendary mentor G One, called The One by the Primus Vanguard, was erected in the inner sanctum of the Ivory Towers.

Later, Primus, broken by forbidden knowledge of the future, threw himself upon the statue and begged his old mentor's spirit for guidance. Finale 1

Much, much, later, after the dissolution of Primus' Vanguard and the capture of Oracle by the traitorous Straxus twins, the young Blue Order warrior Magna Convoy paid his respects beneath The One's visage. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic

Toys

Microman

  • Giant Robo G-1 (1979)
Microman Giant Robo G-1 was repurposed as the statue of The One.
A toy conceptualized for Takara's Microman toyline, a solicitation for Giant Robo G-1 appeared in the 1979 edition of the Takara General Catalog, Takara's periodical for potential vendors and other toy industry professionals. Intended as a line centerpiece, G-1 was to pull out all the stops: in addition to the traditional cockpit for a Microman figure expected of larger toys in the line, it was intended to include a compartment for the pilot's accessories, a motorized walking gimmick, radio control functionality, and even a voice changer. The toy came no closer to production, and the imposing resin prototype pictured here remains the only known evidence G-1 ever existed.

Notes

  • The same issue of Generations Selects Special Comic that identified the statue gave The One the alternate name "G One" in homage to the statue's original identity, amongst other things.
  • This statue represents the first glimpse of The One's physical form in Transformers history. Auspicious!
