Revelation (IDW)
The Transformers: Revelation is planned to be the follow-up miniseries to IDW Publishing's The Transformers: Devastation. It has been revealed that in June, 2008, Revelation series will be played out through four Spotlight format issues, focusing on Cyclonus, Hardhead,Sideswipe and Doubledealer. This four-parter will mark the end of the "-tion" series "for the foreseeable". [1] It had been hinted that the following volume would be titled The Transformers: Expansion, but Furman now states that "the stuff [he] had (mentally) prepared for Expansion may still happen, just later or in a different form. [2] IDW solicitations have confirmed that these four Spotlight issues will be in addition to the normal Spotlight series, with the first issue arriving the same month as Spotlight: Wheelie.

Creative team
The creative team from Infiltration through Devastation (writer Simon Furman and penciller E. J. Su) will again work on Revelation, though Su will only illustrate the first and fourth issues. Nick Roche, who is doing a cover for each issue, will also pencil at least one of the issues.
Trivia
- Revelation will be the third IDW miniseries in a row that borrows a title from Dreamwave Productions' The War Within: The Dark Ages series.
