Such an awesome name, for such a useless character.

Padlock is probably the second most useless Autobot ever. Yes, his name is Padlock.

He is friends with the rookie Autobot Wing Dagger.

Padlock was a security guard on Cybertron, alongside Wing Dagger. He was cruelly aerated by Shockblast in the rogue Decepticon's prison break, which set Wing Dagger on a quest to avenge him. Shockblast: Rampage

These unnamed generic Autobots are definitely the most useless Autobots ever. They get blown up in literally any situation they are put in. They were seen guarding the Energon Core when Padlock and Wing Dagger left to investigate the breakout. One of these Autobots' final act was to whistle cheerily before Shockblast elbowed him through a wall and then blew his spark out. Shockblast: Rampage

Notes

• Padlock's model, which is a "Frankensteining" of other toy-characters' models, was also used in the episode "Scorpinok"[sic] for the generic Autobot soldiers defending Desert City and was used again in countless subsequent episodes before finally being used as a named character in "Shockblast: Rampage."
• Likewise, the character models used for the generic orange jet Autobots were also used in "Scorpinok"[sic]
