The Way We Were, by One Who Saw It
A critical look at Cybertron's Age of Expansion, The Way We Were, by One Who Saw It by Codexa chronicles the exploits of several of the more notable Titans during the epoch.
Excerpt
- I saw a fleet of Titans once. It must sound a fantasy to more recent forgings, but I saw it. It was such a sight. Seven of them, heading out into the universe. The living embodiment of the Expansion. Reversionists say that we are Cybertron, body and spark. Thus, however far we reach, wherever we go, there is Cybertron. So perhaps Titans were - are - the ultimate expression of Cybertron incarnate. Of us. Wondrous, vast, infinitely capable. We knew their names. We knew their tales. Waypoint broke the Szorian Empire. Chela saved Cybertron from the Wayward Comet. Tempo and others carried the Knights off into legend. Titans built our colonies. They fought our battles. They died for us. They were us. All our potential, possibilities, abilities, continued out of our deepest past into the present. Expressed. Beautiful. But terrible, too. I understand that now, but not then. We were too slow to see that not all of the past belongs in the present. Too slow to see the Titans through the eyes of the organic universe. To see what others saw when they looked at us. Perhaps we should always have been more afraid of ourselves. The Titans are few now, and most of them rest in orbital slumber. Some say we are lesser for the Titans' absence, and for their sleep. But we should fear what terrible circumstance might bring their waking. And what terrible consequence might follow it. The Change In Your Nature Part Five

Detailing Codexa's own experiences during the Age of Expansion, The Way We Were, by One Who Saw It spoke of the great deeds of the Titans, such as Chela saving Cybertron from the Wayward Comet, but also of the horrors that they inflicted on aliens during the founding of the Cybertronian colonies, such as Waypoint destroying the Szorian Empire. As a result of this, Codexa came to understand the fear that the other races of the galaxy had viewed the Titans, reflecting that it might have been for the best that the Titans had gone into stasis lock during the era of the Nominus Edict.
During the era of Sentinel Prime, Vigilem was sent to attack the Winged Moon by the Rise, quoting The Way We Were, by One Who Saw It throughout his flight. Sent to intercept him, Lightbright and Lodestar considered this to be a bad sign. The Change In Your Nature Part Five
